Uses

Meropenem, sold under the brand names Merrem among others. Meropenem is used to treat various types of bacterial infections. This drug is known as carbapenem-type antibiotic. It works by stopping the growth of bacteria.

How to use Meropenem Vial

If you start using Meropenem and you get a refill, then before you are available from your pharmacist, please read the Patient Information Letter. If you have any questions, ask your doctor or pharmacist.
This medicine is given by injection in the vein directed by your doctor, usually every 8 hours.
If you are using Meropenem at home, then know all the preparations and use instructions from your health care professional. Before using, check this product blindly for particles or discoloration. If it is present then do not use the liquid. Learn how to safely store and discard medical supplies.
Dosage is based on your medical condition and treatment response. In children, dosage is also based on age and weight.
For the best effect, use this antibiotic at the same time. To help you remember, use this drug at the same time every day.

Side Effects

Precautions

Before using Meropenem, tell your doctor or pharmacist whether you are allergic to it; Or for penicillins or cephalosporins; Or if you have any other allergens. This product can have passive elements, which can cause allergic or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.

Over Dose
